2005: Another Year, Another Blog

There has been a little rain today.

My Itunes has been playing on shuffle since 11:00 o'clock this morning. It's currently playing Mat Kearney (pronounced Karney). If you haven't decided to enjoy his music, then you should probably start your Google search for him as soon as possible, he's great.

Doesn't rain just make you feel like taking a nap or sleeping. Just the sound of the rain upon the top of your roof or maybe outside your window on the ground. Bethany is taking a nap on the bed right now. I don't really feel like sleeping, even though I probably should because I know we're going to stay up late tonight to bring in the new year. You see, California doesn't understand rain I think. I mean, I was born here, raised here, and live here now, but I just got back from being in Seattle the past couple of weeks. People in Seattle see rain as a normal part of life. You won't see a weather guy in Seattle freaking' out about rain coming to their area. But I have been watching the news the past couple of days and that's about all I am seeing. "OH MY GOSH!!! RAIN IS COMING TO CALIFORNIA!!!" You would almost think King Kong was actually in town (and I don't mean the movie, I mean the monster). I guess that's enough about rain.

I'm sure I should probably be writing something about 2005, but nothing is really sticking out to me except getting married. Which, if one thing was going to happen in 2005, I would want it to be getting married. It's been a good year, full of laughter, joy, honor, forgiveness, passion, regret, fun, and the like. Tomorrow is just another Sunday, another day to go to church and enjoy the people who walk this life along with me. I'm always excited to be alive. I'm always wanting to get more out of it. So if I had one memory about 2005, it would be getting married and our honeymoon. What's your favorite memory from 2005? Post it! We'll all read them and try to enjoy that memory with you.

Oh, and don't worry, I'm not going to close this blog by saying "See yah next year!"

Backspacing Is Still Erasing

And I wait... for what you might ask? Well, for Comcast to come hook up my $10.00 cable package! haha.. That's what happens when you don't have money and you're poor. I guess being poor and not having money go hand in hand. Then again, on a more a serious note, you could be rich and still be poor. Maybe you could be rich and not have anyone to love, or not have anyone that truly loves you. You see, I might not be rich in dollars, but I am rich in life. I have a wife who loves me, and I love her. I have roof over my head. I have a relationship with Jesus Christ which gives me true life.

The past couple of days have been fun. Bethany and I have been trying to move into our apartment and get everything settled down. It's good to be back. I've been catching up with friends and calling people. The first day back I think I got like 21 phone calls from different people. They must've known I was coming home, but I still don't know why I was getting so many phone calls. No worries.

So what happens if Comcast is late? I was told they would come no later than 10:00am. I have a 10:30 meeting, and I can't be late. So they better get here. But does it meant that I get my cable free? That would be sweet. Kind of like a pizza delivery. Nevermind. I'm gone, go enjoy your day.

Rick, The Doorman

This is Zach and I before I got married. Great pic.

I gotta tell you about Rick. He's our doorman at the hotel my wife and I are staying at. He's a good guy. I like him. You know what's great about Rick? He knows everything. No, seriously. The guy knew my name before I met him. Our friend brought our car to the hotel valet and Rick apparently took care of it. Because when I went back downstairs to get the the car, Rick was like "oh.. yes. Mr. Thomason" And I was like? "..huh?.." It was awesome. Oh man, and just last night I needed direction to the ballet that Bethany and I were going to. So I was about to drive away and I said, "Rick, how do I get to McCaw Hall?" Without hesitation Rick reached into his jacket pocket (which, he wears a really nice doorman outfit), and he said, "OK, you want to get to McCaw Hall.." and he started drawing on this map and gave us the map to use to get there. Consequently, we made the ballet in perfect timing. I'm telling you.. this five-star hotel stuff is great.

Bethany and I have had so much fun. What's funny is that we have had more fun trying to figure out all this five-star hotel stuff. For instance, we learned what "turn down" service is. At night, they come in and get rid of the top layer of bedding and get the bed ready for sleeping. Second, we learned about "shoe shine service." We can set my dress shoes outside the door and they will be shined in the morning! Oh man, and we learnd that if we go to the pool area they will give us free bottles of water, bath robes, and individually cleaned apples. No joke, I saw this lady wiping every apple by hand and putting it in this basket. So great.

Enough about the hotel, but if you ever get the time, check one out.

Alright, we're going to be heading out for dinner, so make sure you shoes are shined and your bed is ready for sleeping! See yah.

Happy Returns and Honeymoons

SHAYCAM.COM IS BACK!!!!

It's amazing. I'm actually on my honeymoon right now, but I just found out that shaycam.com is back from the dead. I thought I lost it, but I guess I didn't. It's great, I'm so excited.

Bethany and I got married yesterday. It was a great time, so exciting. We had so much fun, I recommend it for everyone. So now we're relaxing on our honeymoon. I'm not allowed to tell you where because that would be improper, but we just got done listening to a sweet live session of Incubus on the radio. No commercials, totally live. It was sweet.

This hotel we're staying at is incredible. The 2nd floor has a full fitness center, pool, and whirlpool spa. So great. OH snap, I just got distracted, Foo Fighters "Best of You" just came on. Anyways, gotta run, honeymoons are better than blogs.
